In 1992 the Bendix product line was bought by Precision Engine Controls of San Diego. In the summer of 1998 Altronic acquired the reciprocating engine product line from PEC including these former Bendix products.

Altronic has decided to continue certain product lines but also to place others on obsolete status.

Some products and parts have been continued in the Altronic product line
and made available through the Altronic distribution network:
AccuNOx air/fuel ratio controllers
Safe-T-Lead spark plug leads certified for Class I, group D, Division 2 areas


FOLLOWING PRODUCTS HAVE BECOME OBSOLETE

Accufire ignition system
DIU ignition system
BASIC engine control system
S-1800, SS, LAR, BLAR and other magneto style ignition systems and parts
S-1850 solid state magneto's, parts, coils and coil kits
S-1850 solid state magneto's, parts, coils and coil kits

Engine users running with these systems is strongly advised to retrofit the ignition system on short notice.
